Singleton High's HSC Seminar Day is held each year on the last Friday in May.
It involves more than 500 Y11 and Y12 students from over 30 schools. Students and staff from Government, Catholic and Independent schools from across the region travel from such places as Narrabri, Merriwa, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, Taree, Wauchope, Maitland and the Central Coast.
Our HSC Seminars attract over 40 experienced teachers and experts from across the state, who provide students with the latest developments in HSC content and exam techniques for over 30 HSC courses. This team of experts comprises educational consultants, senior HSC markers, HSC markers, university lecturers and Board of Studies staff.
The seminars are held across 14 venues centred around York Street in Singleton from 9:50am to 5:00pm and only costs $55. The success and renown of our HSC Seminar Day is due to hard work of Singleton High School staff and Student Representative Council members, support from the NSW Department of Education, the wider Singleton community and both local and regional business sponsorship.
The Singleton Educational Community has hosted the Seminar Day for 20 years. Each year over 1000 students benefit from the expert knowledge and advice given to them on the day. Schools or individual students wishing to participate in the HSC Seminars can register by contacting Singleton High School on 02 6571 1199. Detailed information is also available upon request.
