Description:
There are two main types of parsley. These are curly parsley, a long stemmed, dark green and curly leafed plant, and Italian flat leaf parsley, is a deeper green colour and more lose toothed leaf. The Italian variety has a more fragrant and less bitter taste than the curly variety. There is also another type of parsley known as turnip-rooted (or Hamburg) that is cultivated for its roots.

Planting and Growing
Steps to grow parsley
1. Fill a pot with soil or loosen the soil in your garden area where you want to plant the parsley.
2. Sprinkle parsley seeds in rows in your pot or garden space. Make rows in the garden at least 12 inches apart.
3. Cover the seeds with soil and water the area until the soil surrounding the seeds is wet.
4. Water the parsley every week to ensure the soil never dries out.
5. Fertilize twice during the parsley's growing season, using fertilizer.
6. Cut parsley stems as they become mature, making the cut close to the ground. Use the harvested parsley immediately or dry or freeze it for long-term preservation.
